Bernita M. Reeder, 78, of Janesville, WI passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Mercy Manor Transition Center. Bernita was born November 27, 1932 in Janesville, the daughter of Alfred and Meta (Greinert) Barlass. She graduated from Janesville High School and Madison Beauty College. Bernita married Darrell Reeder on October 2, 1954 at Rock Prairie Presbyterian Church. She owned and operated Bea’s Beauty Salon in Footville for many years. She was a lifetime member of Footville American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing in multiple card clubs, going out to eat with friends and spending leisure time at the family cottage.

Bernita is survived by her husband, Darrell of Tomah Veterans Home, 1 son, Douglas (Pat) Reeder of Machesney Park, IL, 1 daughter, Becky (Joe) Heinzl of Oshkosh, WI, 1 granddaughter, Melissa (Patrick) Schad of Manitowoc, WI, 1 great-grandson, Raymond Schad of Manitowoc, 1 brother, George (Shirley) Barlass of Janesville, 2 sisters-in-law, Alice Barlass of Janesville, Mina (Jim) Walsh of Beloit. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Marvin Barlass.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville with Rev. Forrest Wells of Cargill United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home www.henkeclarson.com.
